Definitely for big boy kits. The original wavy bottom Hi-hat. I used to have a larger kit so these hats made sense at the time but I've since traded down in size and go exclusively for light 13s now. The 2002 sound edge hats cut through the mix and will destroy your ears. Definitely for big boy kits. These ones in particular have been with me for a while and have a few scars (pictured) and patina to show for it but thankfully no cracks.
