Description

Residue Removal Interior Floors-Required minimum residue removal method is scrubbing using a floor machine (buffer) with a nylon bristle brush or white pad. Interior Floors-Required minimum preparation is scrubbing using a floor machine (buffer) with a black pad, grit brush or sanding screen. This is acid stain and it works differently than paint. Surface Preparation-Concrete must be clean and free of all dirt and contaminants. Concrete ingredient mix, texture, age and stain dilution ratio affect the final color and appearance. Paints and sealers must be removed prior to stain application using Active Elements-Paint Strip. Exterior surfaces (broom finished) - Required minimum preparation is pressure washing. Wash equipment thoroughly after use with water. Drying Time-Allow a minimum of 4 hours drying/reaction time. WARNING, this is not concrete paint. Concrete floors must be open and porous prior to applying Concrete Acid Stain. Sanibel can only be used on interior cement and concrete surfaces 1-gallon size covers 100 to 200 sq ft depending on dilution, texture and porosity of concrete. The stain can be applied using a plastic pump sprayer, brush, rag, or sponge. Neutralization-After the full stain reaction has occurred neutralize the concrete by scrubbing the surface with Active Elements-Neutralize. A test area should be done in an inconspicuous area prior to applying to the entire surface. Use a wet vacuum to collect residue and wastewater.
